Tiny Post... Surviving winter time

Today is the first snow and all I wanted this morning was to curl up in bed and wake up only in 5 months. I'm should be used to winter by now, I've been living in Canada forever! But whatever I try to tell myself, I still hate it with a passion. So today, I would give you my idea on how to make this winter bearable.

Last year, my first real time sSnowboarding and it was at le Massif de Charlevoix.

1. Find a winter sport you love. My boyfriend is always so excited for the winter time for snowboard season. I could never understand it till last year when I tried it. It's pretty fun if you cut the part where you have to use the chair lift and the fact that I am super scared of height! But I truly enjoyed it and I'm happy to do it again this year. But my all time favorite is hiking! And doing it in winter with snowshoes is a completely different experience! Last year, my boyfriend, a pair of friends and I rented a small cabin in the wood. We had 6 hours of walking to do to get there it was wonderful.

2. Find an outside spa. This is an all-time favorite of mine. It's fun in the summer time, but perfect in the winter time! It's so relaxing and pretty! You're cold so getting in the hot water is so enjoyable, then you get cold and march to the cold bath for a couple of seconds and It' so much less painful than on summer time! Then it's back to the warmth of the sauna.

3. Layered up! Being cold is not fun, but getting super hot then super cold is the worst thing ever! Your sweat gets on your cloth then it gets frozen and now it will take you longer to get warm again. So put on a lot of layers, that way, you can make yourself comfortable at all time. It's extra important when you use public transportation because it's always way too hot in the subway and it gets worst when there is a crowd so make sure you can take you coat off without being cold.

Try to enjoy it the best you can and tell yourself it's only for the next... 5 months... You can always run away to the south for a couple of weeks! I can't afford it, sadly... Maybe one day! I hope you enjoyed this post or that it was helpful for you if you are living in a winter wonderland for half a year too! I would talk to you real soon! Bye-ee!!
