I've had a lot of issues these past weeks that left me really stress out. I'm a pretty anxious person and most of the time, my health makes realize before anything else that I'm stressed, which results in trying to calm down when it's already too late. I'll give you some of my tricks to help me calm down, but the most important thing you need to remember is, listen carefully to what your body is trying to tell you.
Being stress plays directly with your digestive system, so try to find an herbal tea that helps with your stomach. I use lemon balm and drink a litre per day for about a week. I also take probiotics in capsules to help the digestif system. Just remember that if you are going with a natural way to get better, it's going to take time, but at the end, your body would be thankful. Don't fall (too much) into the temptation of bad eating. It's super important to have a healthy eating habit when you are stressed out because your body need every vitamin to stay healthy.
Try to find ways or do things that are easy and soothing. For me, it's painting. I started yesterday and it really helps me calm down and relax. Watching a really calm movie or tv show also help me a lot. I'm not someone you watch movies a lot, I lose focus really fast. But on moments like now when I feel like I could just break apart at any moment, I try to really focus on what is happening on the screen and not what's on my mind.
I don't lose sleep when I'm stressed, but I always feel tired, since my body is working harder all the time. I try to sleep more and to not be on my phone for an hour before bed. It really helps me get to sleep faster.
That's pretty much all I do to help me calm down. I would do everything I can to post on Friday, but I can already see that I feel better than last week. I hope it would help you as much as it helps me get better. Bye-e.
