First, is the phase of I'm not good at anything, I want to cry and eat. Don't fall into it, well not too deep in it. Ask for a hug from anyone, your cat, your dog, your boyfriend, a friend, your family, anyone! And if you have none of that (it happen to me in the past, when I moved to Montréal, alone, before I had my kitten... It gets better, but it happens) take your comfiest clothe, your favorite blanket and take a hot-water bottle, it will feel just like a hug! If you have sugars rush, eat fruit instead of ice cream and chocolate. If it's not enough, try dark chocolate.
After that, do something that makes you laugh! Nothing good is going to come up from self-pity. Don't watch something that is going to make you cry, fight it with laughter!
Go outside! Don't stay at home thinking about your failure. Go to the gym, take long walks, go shopping! Anything to make you think of something else.
Clean! Throw stuff you don't need. My head is cluttered with thought, and I feel claustrophobic and if you are like me and are unable to throw the things you don't need, now is the best time to get rid of them. A clean house is so liberating, and cleaning is for me a kind of therapy, a little like boxing when you're mad.
I hope these small tricks are going to help if, like me, you feel like a big failure at life. But I'm telling you today is the last day of self-pity! Just talking about it makes me want a be happy again and now I feel liberated! Have a good day everyone and I will see you soon!
